Trick-Or-Treating in San Antonio

Many are asking about Halloween here in San Antonio, and when one should go out on Halloween night. Although some cities set different dates for Trick-or-treating such as my hometown of Delaware where Camden is due to hand out their treats on Saturday between 6-8 pm, here in San Antonio and our surrounding communities, we all have but one date...HALLOWEEN NIGHT!

Children may start showing up for Trick-Or-Treating around dinner time, perhaps about 4:30/5 pm for the younger children, while older kids may wait until 7 pm or when it starts to get dark. Just a reminder, homes with their porch lights off are normally those not participating in the holiday and are to be avoided. Trick-or-treating also tends to generally end between the hours of 9-10 p.m.

Also, be on the lookout for neighborhood and community trick-or-treating events throughout the month of October. The University of the Incarnate Word will be hosting its annual trunk or treat Friday, Oct 29th from 6-9 pm
